Hundreds Of People Surprise A Kid Who Built His Own Arcade But Never Got Customers

The tale of Caine’s Arcade is probably one of the most moving stories we’ve shared in a long time.

At the tender age of nine, an inspirational boy named Caine started building his own elaborate cardboard arcade inside his dad’s used auto parts store. After months of getting no customers, one stranger walked in and did something incredible.

See how the man shocked Caine. I dare you not to tear up!

Caine’s Arcade isn’t exactly bustling with kids and gamers, since it’s in the front of his dad’s auto parts store.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DCBM_BTF’); });

Inside, Caine proudly displays his numerous arcade machines and games that are all made out of cardboard. The nine-year-old even built his very own claw machine!

Caine takes his work seriously. He even made himself a staff shirt! As much as he loves his bright blue shirt, he only rocks it on weekends because he’s afraid he’ll be made fun of for wearing it to school.

Caine has trouble getting customers because his dad does most of his business on eBay. When he told the kids at school about his arcade, they made fun of him.

But the little guy never gave up. One day, a man named Nirvan Mullick saw the arcade and was blown away. He spent a while playing and once he got home, he immediately went online and posted to social media. What followed left the little boy absolutely speechless.

Watch the entire heartwarming video below. Seriously, take 10 minutes out of your day for this. It’s well worth it!

Mullick’s video of strangers doing such a sweet thing for Caine went viral, and for good reason. People wanted so much to be a part of Caine’s success that a scholarship fund was started for the young boy that now has nearly $250,000 in donations. Those funds will help this industrious little boy excel later in life. He clearly has more than enough determination to make his dreams come true.

Gun shop in S.C. tries unique marketing strategy

The Simpsonville Gun & Pawn shop in Simpsonville, S.C. is tapping into anger over President Obama’s endless calls for gun control with a unique marketing strategy: “Want to piss off Obama? Buy a gun!”

Pawn shop owner Mark Teal told WDBD:

Its mainly just to sell guns, but theres a little bit of political connotation to it also, said Mark Teal, owner of Simpsonville Gun and Pawn.

Its a political connotation, according to Teal, stemming from President Obamas address to the country Sunday night regarding terrorism and gun control.

Congress should act to make sure that no one on a no-fly list should be able to buy a gun, said President Obama in his thirteen minute address to the nation.

Teal also commented on how the president gets Secret Service protection for his family, but he wants to deny that same protection to ordinary Americans:

I just think its strange that he has 24 hour security, his children and wife have 24 hour security with armed guards everywhere they go [and] its ok for them to have armed guards, but its not ok for us to protect ourselves.

Well said, Mr. Teal.

President Obama really has been good news for gun manufacturers. Shares in gun stocks have soared in the past 7 years:

And gun sales are booming since the terrorist attack in San Bernardino:

Kind of the opposite of what President Obama wanted to happen.

Soldier suspected of killing 16 Afghans identified!/edhenryTV/status/180779088280162305

Here's Staff Sgt. Robert Bales

— Ed Henry (@edhenryTV) March 16, 2012

@edhenryTV I found several photos of Staff Sgt. Robert Bales, the soldier accused of killing Afghan civilians:

— jon gabriel (@exjon) March 16, 2012

He was flown Friday from Kuwait to the military prison at Ft. Leavenworth in Kansas as prosecutors prepared to bring the first formal charges against him.

U.S. military officials said the staff sergeant’s pre-trial confinement at Leavenworth doesn’t necessarily preclude later putting him on trial in Afghanistan.

“No decisions have been made. We’re not there in the process,” said Pentagon spokesman Capt. John Kirby.

Military investigators have said they believe that the man had been drinking alcohol on the night of the rampage.

A lawyer who said he was representing the staff sergeant disputed reports that alcohol, stress or domestic issues caused the man to snap.

Apparently one way to stop a bad guy with 2 knives is with an unarmed 75-year-old Army veteran –

The feel good story of the night comes to us from Morton, Ill. and involves a 75-year-old Army veteran who fought off a crazed 19-year-old who threatened his class of chess studentswith two knives:

From the Tribune:

James Vernon was teaching a chess class with 16 children at Morton Public Library when authorities say 19-year-old Dustin Brown entered the room with two knives. According to a court affidavit, Brown told police afterward that he “failed in his mission to kill everyone.”

“He actually ran into the room yelling, ‘I’m going to kill some people!’ He was holding two knives,” Vernon told the Pekin Daily News. Vernon described the knives as “hunting types” with “fixed blades about 5 inches” long.

Vernon suffered “two cut arteries and a tendon” while defending the kids and credits the knife-fighting skills he learned in the Army for allowing him to delay Brown enough to get the kids to safety:

There were no more potential victims in the room. He focused on me. There was no more talking, but Vernon watched what Brown did with his knives and learned.

I knew he was right-handed. He was whittling on his left arm with the one in that hand, making small cuts. He was trying to scare me, and he did. But if Brown attacked, I knew which hand it was coming from.

Brown slashed from the right towards Vernon, who blocked the blade with his left hand. I should have hit his wrist. Thats how youre trained, but its been half a century, he said.

First rule of combat: Be fast and vigorous, said Vernon, who was trained but never served in combat. Vernons medium build was enough to overcome his smaller attacker.

Well done, sir!
